Attorney-at-law Dr. Temel Nal is a founding partner of the law firm SANAS Rechtsanwälte.

He was born in Munich.

After obtaining his university entrance qualification in Munich in 1988 and completing one year of philosophy studies at Ludwig Maximilian University, Dr. Nal began studying law at LMU Munich in 1989, which he completed in 1994 with distinction.

He completed his legal traineeship in the Munich Higher Regional Court district, passing the second state examination in 1996 with the Bavarian distinction grade.

Alongside his work as an Assessor at the business law firm Wessing, Berenberg-Gossler, he worked from December 1996 as a research associate at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Patent, Copyright and Competition Law in Munich and earned his doctorate (Dr. jur.) at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich at the end of 1999 on the topic “Problems of Turkish Copyright Law from the Perspective of German and European Law,” published by C.H. Beck.

Attorney-at-law Dr. Temel Nal was a founding partner of the law firm Demirci & Dr. Nal from 01/01/2000 to 01/31/2008.

At our firm, Dr. Nal primarily advises in the areas of immigration law, German and Turkish copyright law, trademark law, and unfair competition law.

In particular, expert opinions are also prepared in the areas of Turkish copyright law, Turkish trademark law, and Turkish unfair competition law.

Dr. Nal also gives lectures and publishes in the fields of immigration law and copyright law, including as co-author of the textbook “Fikri Mülkiyet Hukukunun Esasları” (in German: Fundamentals of Intellectual Property), which was published in a second edition in 2009.

Attorney-at-law Dr. Temel Nal also served as a lecturer at Ludwig Maximilian University from 2010 to the winter semester 2023/2024 in the course “Introduction to Turkish Legal Terminology.”

In addition to law, Dr. Temel Nal is interested in photography, music, art, and Latin American dance.
